Featured as Earth Shot's Photo of the Day on 7/2/09 ([link]) as well as Photo of the Day on Aperture Academy on 7/9/09 ([link])

This was one of the hardest 1.5 mile hikes I've ever made. You start from the lake down there and hike up this steep, crumbly mountain until you get to this ridge. I damn near killed myself stepping on unstable rocks over and over.

I loved the view here and set up for sunset. It took me about an hour to find a spot and composition I really liked. I really liked this shot more than later ones I took from the same spot, because the sun is falling scross those trees in the front and adds a lot the depth of the image by having a nice middleground subject. Later, those trees were dark and it didn't seem as strong of an image.

A mounted print of this shot can be purchased at my Etsy store for only $20 - [link]

Spectacular! What makes this so awesome and unique is how the camera could see for miles of pure clarity. Not many photos I've seen have achieved such an awesome depth view of the landscape and surroundings. The mix of greens, blues, grays, yellows, and whites add variety and color to this image...very, very nice!

This is one of the most beautiful landscapes I think I have ever seen. The long line of sight way of into the horizon, the way the light picks out certain spots, and the peaks in the distance make it look really enticing.

I think the best way to describe this glorious image is:
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. ~Ecclesiastes 3:11

It's even harder to read out loud. Lol!
